This programme gives students knowledge of planning, designing and implementing the installation of a network operating system and application software for the network. Students learn to develop disaster recovery plans and organisational policies, create baselines, monitor performance using a system/network monitor and log files to evaluate performance.


Academic Entry: A diploma in computing, non-computing degree or equivalent

English Requirement: International students whose first language is not English must provide evidence of competency in English language equivalent to IELTS 6 (Academic)  with no band less then 5.5 or NZSE’s Internal English Test (except for student’s from countries where the student visa decline rate is more than 20 percent of total student visa applications in that country)

All components are compulsory (unless specified in the module outline or negotiated with the Academic Manager).

The NZSE Diploma in Computing (Level 7) comprises a minimum of 122 credits.

Graduates with a good academic record will be eligible to progress to postgraduate studies.
