Programme overview
Your staff can skill up while improving the lives of others by developing in-demand skills for specialty healthcare roles through NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Care and Support) (Level 4).
With the latest in research and care, they will learn about specialised practices while developing the skills, in-depth knowledge, and key attributes required to provide advanced person-centred support to those with complex needs, and to their family/whanau. Once learning is complete, your staff will be ready to rise in leadership roles within aged care facilities.
What students study
Students will develop evidence-based models of care and what’s required when working in a collaborative environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will graduate having learnt:

- Safe practices in health and wellbeing
- Clinical care
- Applied Leadership skills
Upon graduating, learners will be able to work with a minimum pay of $28.25 an hour according to the New Zealand Government’s pay parity agreement (starting from 1 July 2023).

Entry requirements
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) in Health Assistance or Support Work strand or equivalent qualification OR
- Three (3) year's paid employment experience within the Health and Wellbeing sector.
- All learners must have English language competence to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English.
