Thousands of Nepali call New Zealand their house, for residency or for study. According to the Nepalese Consulate, our two nations have a shared appreciation for the natural environment and mountainous landscapes, and we have formed an evolving bond since the ‘60s in trade, education, and cultural exchange.
At NZSE College, we have plenty of Nepali students who study with us for futures in healthcare, technology, and more, and trust in us as a provider to create a safe environment to prosper in.
We were proud to recently welcome the Honorary Consulate of Nepal for Auckland, Dinesh Khadka, to our Koru Room at the New Lynn campus. Mr Dinesh Khadka encouraged students to lean on social networks and to form strong bonds with the flourishing Nepali community in Auckland. He stressed that local events and resources would help our learners thrive while adapting to life in New Zealand.
We also welcomed guest speakers from various community organisations including Dr. Roshan Khadka, President of the New Zealand Nepalese Society. These groups run free wellbeing initiatives — from sports and cultural festivals to health-focused workshops — all aimed at creating healthy lifestyles and nurturing Nepali social and cultural heritage.
It is a privilege to encourage growing community networks and to support our international students beyond the classroom. We recognise that moving to a new country is a significant life change, and we are committed to providing wrap-around support that ensures every learner feels empowered on their journey.
