We are excited to announce the opening of NZSE College’s new Hospitality School at our New Lynn campus. Founder Brijesh Sethi says, “NZSE College is committed to supporting the growth and prosperity of one of New Zealand’s fastest growing industries’ and is opening the Training School in response to the significant skills shortage the industry is currently experiencing”.
The first training programme, commencing on March 27th is a New Zealand Certificate in Food and Beverage Service, Level 3. The 18-week course will focus on Café Operations and Barista Service and is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills they require to gain employment in the hospitality industry. Other hospitality courses we will be offering include Bar Service, LCQ, Food safety, Functions & Events, and QSR. Potential job opportunities for students who successfully complete these programmes include working in restaurants, bars, cafes’ hotels or functions and events. The School is accessible to many local food and beverage businesses and can help the sector build a skilled workforce.
“All our programmes are employer driven and have been developed in consultation with industry,” says Lisa Sadaraka, our head of School for Hospitality, “We adopt a practical hands-on approach to learning, ensuring that students get the kick-start they need to a meaningful career in our hospitality industry”.
