Group Operations Director Andrew Brennan’s Reflections on NZSE’s 20 Years

Nineteen years ago, Andrew Brennan joined New Zealand Skills and Education College (NZSE) as an evening IT tutor, drawn by a shared vision to create education pathways for learners often overlooked by traditional institutions. Today, as Group Operations Director for New Zealand Skills and Education Group (NZSEG), Andrew oversees facilities, IT systems, and operations across six campuses, ensuring that staff and students have the tools they need to succeed.

Reflecting on his journey, Andrew recalls key moments of growth—from opening NZSE’s doors to international students in 2006 to expanding into South Auckland in 2012; acquiring ATC and Seafield in 2016 to launching NZSE’s first Bachelors Degree in 2023: “It’s always been about creating opportunities and reaching new communities,” he says.

In this video, Andrew shares his perspective on the organisation’s impact, from transforming lives to embracing diversity, and why, after 19 years, he still believes in NZSEG’s mission to empower learners. Watch the video to learn more.
