What you study
Learn about computer network hardware and infrastructure as you are introduced to cloud computing and the internet of things (IoT). With team-based practical work, supported by exceptional tutors, you’ll learn how to apply advanced knowledge to build, manage, evaluate, and maintain network and cloud systems whilst applying project management methodologies and practices. This programme covers:
- Network Infrastructure and Administration
- Cloud Infrastructure and Administration
- Wireless Network Systems
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Network and Cloud Security
- Network and Cloud Design and Assessment
You’ll be prepared for the following certification: Microsoft Fundamentals.
You will also complete either an internship* or a capstone project at the end of the programme to test your learned skills in an industry-based setting.
*Internships are not available for offshore International students and they must complete the capstone project instead.

Entry requirements
- Graduates of any Bachelor degree, or Level 6 IT or Business qualification, or Level 5 with one year of work experience in IT (Get in touch with us if you’re unsure)
- This programme requires students to have access to a laptop/desktop that can connect to the internet with a web browser and a required minimum screen size of 10 inches. For device specifications, please talk to your Course Advisor
- Graduates of any Bachelor degree, Level 6 IT or Business qualification, or Level 5 with one year of work experience in IT (Get in touch with us if you’re unsure)
- International English Student Requirements
- IELTS Academic score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or NZCEL (Academic) Level 4 or equivalent
- Onshore International students require a visa and insurance. For offshore International Students study outside New Zealand, they do not require a visa and insurance.
