Looking to ignite your career in healthcare? Upskill and get qualified for entry-level roles with this NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2).
Learn to provide non-clinical health support with a person-centric approach to up-to-date best healthcare practices. Once qualified, you can start your healthcare career or progress to higher studies in health and wellbeing.

What you study
Develop transferrable skills and foundational knowledge which are both recognised and valued in the health and wellbeing sector. Study topics such as:
- Introduction to New Zealand’s healthcare environment
- Communicating with disabled peoples
- Risk and changes
- Understanding cultures of patients
At the end of your studies you will undertake 80 hours of work placement at an aged care facility or similar working environment. Upon graduation you will be able to work with a minimum pay of $24.78 an hour according to the New Zealand Government’s pay parity agreement (starting from 1 July 2023).

Entry requirements

- A compulsory criminal record/Police check
- An interview and a short statement of intent on why the learner wishes to pursue a Healthcare qualification.
- This programme requires students to have access to a laptop/desktop that can connect to the internet with a web browser and a required minimum screen size of 10 inches. For device specifications, please talk to your Course Advisor.
