Wendy Liao: driving transformation and growth for people and communities at NZSEG

As Group CEO of New Zealand Skills and Education Group (NZSEG), Wendy Liao’s leadership is defined by her belief in the transformative power of education. Having joined New Zealand Skills and Education College (NZSE) 17 years ago and with three decades in the tertiary sector, Wendy guided the organisation’s growth from a single institution into a diverse educational provider that includes Seafield School of English and Edvance.

“Every student comes to us with a dream,” Wendy says, “and it’s our mission to help them realise that dream.” Her vision, rooted in a culture of continuous learning, has led NZSEG to create innovative programmes that not only meet industry demands but equip learners with the skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving world.
